3 Reasons To Visit this Blog Regularly

LACE happens twice a year at two locations each January and each June.  Whether your club officer roles have a tenure of 6 months or one year, all officers should attend LACE training each January and each June.  When 100% of your officers are trained at LACE, your entire club members receive $5 off the next LACE training tuition!

So why visit this blog more than twice a year?

1.     LEARNING HAPPENS ALL YEAR!
Tell me I might listen.  Show me I may remember.   Engage me and I'll never forget.  Deborah Reisdorph, Esq.   LadyLaw Speaks
As a trainer, I know that according to research studies, my audience will recall after 3 days, only 10% of what I said.  In fact, learning increases dramatically when we include videos to 65% recall after 3 days.  Not everyone in your audience will be auditory learners, so adding visuals will make your message more memorable.  However, engaging the attendees increases learning recall to 90% when asked about the topic three hours later.

Founders District knows learning happens all year long.  We understand that some things need repeated, and many things are helpful to you in your officer role throughout the year that were not taught in the LACE event sessions.  You could not attend all the sessions at LACE so presenters will provide information from their respective sessions through this Blog.

Visit this blog regularly.  Tell us what you want to learn more about by filling in the CONTACT FORM to the right.  I guarantee learn ALL YEAR!

2.     YOUR QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED 24/7, 12 MONTHS/YR

If you are like me, your online time for Toastmasters activity outside the club happens after hours. That is when I want to explore and learn more about my role, or prepare for an event, a training, or a club meeting.  You too?

This blog is open 24/7 and every month of the year!  Not just January and June.  We are adding new information continually.  Once there is considerable content added, we will have a regular posting that you can rely upon.  Did we miss something?  Put it in a message with the CONTACT FORM on the right.  Did you have something to add? You can tell us about it! That's what COMMENTS below each blog are for.  Use the sandwich method if it is a strong evaluation,  Please.  Your input is valued.
Invite your club members to visit this blog too!  The more comments the better the content.

3.      YOU MIGHT MISS A VALUABLE TIP THAT MAKES YOUR ROLE MORE FUN AND MORE EFFECTIVE!

As a club officer, a district officer or an active club member, we always want to have fun!

If you don't want to have fun, trust me, your club members do.  So know your audience.  What are their goals in life, in Toastmasters, in personal development?  Imagine the next District Director starts his/her Inaugural Speech telling the story about how you gave them the inspiration to strive for the top leadership role!  Our District Director Pan Kao told us, "you look better than last year" was a statement that inspired him to become better and better each year and now he is District Director! The person who inspired him was another Toastmaster member, Ursula Bell.

In Area Director training, they didn't teach about social dynamics of club visits.  But this blog will address that topic.  Our District Director wants to bring us to President's Distinguished, yet it takes monthly and sometimes weekly goals to make that happen.  And it takes everyone working together! In this blog, we will support one another.  We will engage one another.  We will inspire one another toward these corporate goals and toward your personal goals.
